On the film: Having come to the Christmas in New York toy store, a lovable thief Harry Lockhart accidentally touches the alarm and fleeing from police, gets to audition in a detective film. Producers liked his aggressiveness, and he invites Harry to Hollywood. Prepares Lockhart to screen test Perry Van Shrike, a real detective, who turned to the same and even homosexual. On the role of the protagonist pretends actress Harmony Faith, with which Harry share a common love of the detective story Johnny Gossamera. One night, Perry takes Harry along on the job, and eventually they have to investigate the murder of one woman. Then, as in the novel Gossamera, there is another detective line: Harmony’s sister commits suicide, which, as it turns out, is directly related to the detected Perry and Harry’s corpse.
